The 2024 California Immunization Coalition Summit will provide clinical updates and the latest information on issues related to vaccine administration, along with resources to enhance our communication efforts around disease prevention strategies. Your attendance at this statewide event helps to expand your knowledge about immunization issues and communication strategies and will help you connect with public health colleagues and private sector representatives while also helping us to expand our Coalition network and identify partnerships that enable us to educate and support our communities. The Summit is a terrific opportunity to renew our collective vision to make access to vaccinations and disease prevention a reality for all Californians.

2024 Summit Objectives:

• Disseminate innovative approaches to promote and deliver immunizations to all communities across the lifespan
• Provide support and technical assistance to enhance existing education, communication, and outreach efforts
• Share successful strategies and best practices to strengthen local and statewide advocacy efforts
• Review new recommendations, issues and trends in immunizations and vaccine-preventable diseases.

The 2024 Summit will take place at the Safe Credit Union Convention Center located in downtown Sacramento. The host hotel for the Summit will be the Sheraton Grand Hotel located across the street from the Convention Center.

The California Immunization Coalition is seeking abstract submissions for workshop sessions at the 2024 CIC Summit on June 5-6, 2024 in Sacramento, California. Workshops will take place on Thursday, June 6th.

We look forward to hearing about any and all projects about improving immunization rates in your community and in particular how your projects have helped to reach underserved, or under vaccinated communities along with programs that have worked to communicate effectively with individuals or groups that are vaccine hesitant.

The Natalie J. Smith, MD Immunization Champion and the Ronald P. Bangasser, MD Leadership award winners will be honored at our annual luncheon held at the Summit on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Start thinking about nominating an exceptional individual, group, or organization.

Who Should Attend?

Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, administrators, educators, immunization stakeholders, coalition members, advocates and other providers from the public and private sector who are interested inlearning more about current immunization issues, strategies and activities.

Continuing Education Credits ( CME/ CE's)

This event is being planned with a Joint Provider to offer CME/ CE's for Physicians, Nurses, and Pharmacists. The number of CE/ CME's offered will be determined closer to the event date. In the past we have had an average of 8-10 CME/CE's offered for those who attended both days. *For reference: At the 2023 Summit those who attended the full conference received either 9.0 Credits or 10.5 credits depending on their credential/ licensure.

Refunds or Cancellations

Cancellations made prior to May 3, 2024 will be refunded to the original payment source, but will be charged a 30% processing fee and the Eventbrite fees are nonrefundable. Refunds will not be made for cancellations after May 3, 2024 or for no-shows. Cancellation requests need to be made in writing by letter or email to info@immunizeca.org (no phone calls are accepted).
