There are now multiple products approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the outpatient treatment and authorized for the prevention of COVID-19.ā€Æ The primary goal of these medications is to reduce hospitalizations and deaths in high-risk patients with COVID-19.ā€Æ 

Providers should have a low threshold to prescribe COVID-19 therapeutics given the broad range of individuals who are at higher risk for severe COVID-19 and can benefit from COVID-19 treatment.ā€Æ
