Influenza is hitting the state and our country hard and fast. California’s health care leaders are urging everyone to get vaccinated now. Please read a joint letter released this week from the California AAP, California AFP, the California Medical Association and CIC. We urge all parents and individuals to contact their health care practitioner today or go VaccineFinder to find a health care provider or pharmacy or local health department that can help you protect yourself and your family with recommended vaccines. 

The California Immunization Coalition (CIC) is collaborating with the California Department of Public Health and numerous professional organizations and health plan partners to take action in controlling the spread of influenza disease in our communities along with the  current Respiratory Syncytial Virus Infection (RSV) outbreak and possible rise in COVID-19 later this winter. We are urging parents and adults: #DontWaitVaccinate.

CIC and partners have also developed a comprehensive set of images, messages, templates and key messages to help health care professionals, educators and advocates promote influenza vaccination with a reminder to not delay.
